Amazon, tariffs and tRump
When it was announced that Amazon was going to post how much of the purchase price was for tariffs, tRump had a hissy fit. Now why would that be? Aren't the tariffs what the seller has to pay our government to sell in the USA? No, they are not. Tariffs are what we pay.
If you look at it as tariffs = sales tax, you can see the outrage. tRump wants to keep up the delusional thinking that someone else is going to pay the price, not us. But we WILL be paying the cost of tariffs because THAT'S THE WAY TARIFFS WORK.
Now I've heard that Bezos got a personal phone call from tRump himself and Jeffy boy backed down, or said it was only in a certain division - I don't know. But that Donni Boy got is knickers in a twist because of this shows that he wants to keep up the delusion that somebody else will pay for the tariffs.
