I had to install it in Mint 20.04, 19.10 and 19.04.
I downloaded a utility for checking hardware sensors and it refused to let me run it anywhere but as superuser. I've had this happen with the earlier versions of Mint too.
I like the Cinnamon desktop and the way Mint walks you through the install and set up but I've always had issues with it being cranky with things not from their software store.
And I dislike Ubuntu pushing SNAP packages. I like AppImage for total portability.
But day-um... POP OS runs Gnome! How *ugly* can you get?
