Not serious prepping (some of those dudes are weeeirrrdooos) but when we moved to the farm we realised we had an opportunity and we took it. Growing food, collecting water in tanks, wood for fires and so on. But what we also realised early on is the importance of community. When the SHTF our friends and family know to come to us. We all have agreed roles. Mine is benevolent dictator for life. :)

Although I was appalled by what happened in Tx, I was horrified by what some Texans considered 'prepping'. I hope they learned from their awful experience.
