It's prostate cancer.

He's my younger brother - there's a space of five years between us - and he's in good health. He's scheduled for surgery in August. They're not sure if it's spread: hopefully not. It appears to be in it's early stages so hopefully they can stomp that fire out before it gets worse.

I told him he needs anything to just ask.

I need to improve my Folding @ Home rig.

When I was first diagnosed with endometrial cancer, I was terrified. My favorite aunt died of cancer, and so did my music teacher. But by the time it applied to me, they'd managed to make cancer "serious" but not "you're gonna die". And I'm still here. And Johns Hopkins has a rep for medical miracles
