As the East Wing of the White House was pulled down and the rubble carted away, someone pointed out that a majority of the original construction was done before the dangers of asbestos was widely know. The building might have been chock full of it. Now, if you have asbestos in a building and cover it so it doesn't leak out you're okay - but busting up the building will release any asbestos fibers into the air... and water... and ground.

I don't think any asbestos remediation was done during the demolition.

So congratulations, Don-OLD, you just created a bigger toxic waste area in the White House. I say bigger because Diaper Don is a walking toxic area all by himself.

And is little toadies too.

I think they might have (half-heartedly) tried to do some remediation. They were spraying water over the site while the demo was going on.

Of course, all that's going to do is wash the asbestos into the ground water.

And lets not forget all that lead paint...

Of course, Trump is trying to drag us all back to the days when no one was supposed to care about these things.

Amen. Hadn't thought of that. When we had our house renovated, they had to have a specially-licensed company clear everything to the brick walls. They'd wrapped the entire house in what was basically a giant plastic bubble first.

I think I read somewhere, the rubble is being used as fill at a golf course. Hopefully, one where orange-face spends too much time at resulting in plenty of exposure to that crap.
