From the Daily Mail Feb 24, 2026:

"It wasn't just the blanket left behind on a plane that got Homeland Security senior adviser Corey Lewandowski so riled up that he fired Kristi Noem's pilot.

It was, according to three DHS insiders, another item Noem left on that flight last spring: her bag.

No one knows for certain what was inside the bag - or at least no one was saying - but it was enough to stir up a hornet's nest with a firing, a rehiring, a promotion and even a medal."

Right. The Bag was so important that Lenandowski came into the cockpit in the middle of the critical climb to altitude - with the seat belt light still one - to chew out the pilot. Then they fired him after they landed. Then they realized there was no one to fly them out of the airport so they rehired him.

What's in the bag, b**ch?

If it was Important Papers and Documents of a Security Type, you DON'T make a noisy fuss about it - you send an air marshal to discretely pick up the bag and have it securely delivered back to you. You don't take off your seat belt and berate the pilot who is FLYING THE AIRCRAFT.

Oh by the way? The pilot was black. Funny about that.

And when were pilots supposed to be baggage handlers?

What's in the bag, b**ch?

Quote from Daily Kos on 02/19/2026 about Andrew Mountbatten:

"Andrew has been arrested rather than being invited to go to a police station and be interviewed under caution. That is widely used by police rather than actually arresting someone. So this sudden arrest will have come as quite a nasty surprise to Andrew. The police can now do searches without Andrew having had any notice that they may be coming."

Does this mean that that the police can search all of 'Andrew Formerly Known as Prince' closets, bank records and online accounts and he can't do shite about it?

Do tell. Literally. 'Cause I don't want to see just a perp walk, I want a parade of pedophiles being marched off to jail.

*passes the popcorn*

As the East Wing of the White House was pulled down and the rubble carted away, someone pointed out that a majority of the original construction was done before the dangers of asbestos was widely know. The building might have been chock full of it. Now, if you have asbestos in a building and cover it so it doesn't leak out you're okay - but busting up the building will release any asbestos fibers into the air... and water... and ground.

I don't think any asbestos remediation was done during the demolition.

So congratulations, Don-OLD, you just created a bigger toxic waste area in the White House. I say bigger because Diaper Don is a walking toxic area all by himself.

And is little toadies too.

One one side my sign said, "AMERICA NEEDS MORE MOXIE AND LESS NAZI"

The other side said, "IT'S SO BAD THE INTROVERTS ARE HERE."

Got a lot of smiles about both.

When President Zelensky (and half of Europe) meet with tRump this week I have a suggestion for them: flatter him a little with a proposal - Trump Tower Kyiv. Hand the assignment off to some grad students and whip some quick 3-D renders and a few posters, that shouldn't take much time at all. Promise him luxury suites, fine dining his name in big gold (plated) letters big enough that they can be seen from Moscow. You could start construction now digging the foundation (he doesn't have to know it's for emergency bomb shelter).

It's all BS of course but it will stroke his ego. Give him a little personal skin in the game. If he likes it and starts siding with Ukraine you can stall the completion by complaining about Russian bombing. Bombing *his* big beautiful building. If he turns it down, no loss.

Just don't mention Epstein files. That's our job.

Seriously?

NPR in the quotes:

"Papers with U.S. State Department markings, found Friday morning in the business center of an Alaskan hotel, revealed previously undisclosed and potentially sensitive details about the Aug. 15 meetings between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir V. Putin in Anchorage."

Can you say, security lapse?

"The first page in the printed packet disclosed the sequence of meetings for August 15, including the specific names of the rooms inside the base in Anchorage where they would take place. It also revealed that Trump intended to give Putin a ceremonial present.

"POTUS to President Putin," the document states, "American Bald Eagle Desk Statue.""

tRump was going to give a pressie to the war criminal. How ****ing nice of him.

I understand Putin didn't stay for lunch ( filet mignon and halibut olympia. Crème brûlée would be served for dessert) because he was full from taking tRump's lunch and drinking his milkshake.

Another meeting with Putin? Why? Do you need to fluff him some more?

Look, I know you admire Putin as the dictator you desire to be, but you aren't getting anything out if this meeting except a distraction from

EPSTEIN FILES, EPSTEIN FILES, EPSTEIN FILES

which ain't happening, sugar.

Putin wants the Soviet Empire back. Period. The only thing that will make him happy is having Eastern Europe returned to him and Western Europe cowering in fear. He'll get to them later. Having you kowtowing to him is just gravy on biscuits.

Stop it. You're an embarrassment and a child molester. No Nobel prize for you, loser.

That was the text of my sign. It got a lot of thumbs up and smiles and people asking for photos. I agreed to let them photograph the sign while I hid behind it.

Yeah.

Happy honking and revving of motorcycles. Local politicians attended. Speeches were given, a good time was had by all. We need more dogs though.

MAKE DOGE DOGS AGAIN!

Recently someone I know was complaining how bad Biden was. "He was so old," they said. "Going down hill. He never should have ran again (in 2024).

Well, maybe Joe was to old and should have handed it directly to Kamala Harris much soon. But I asked them, "Name me a bad policy he endorsed."

That shut them up.

'Nuff said.

Get better Joe.

I've been sending money to the DNC for some time now but I returned their latest ask with one sheet of paper that simply says (in 96 point font):

Stand

Up

and

Fight!

Maybe I'll contribute later but right now I'm not seeing a lot of action for my investment.

So we're actually going to accept the Qatari 747 that's been described at a 'Flying Palace' as a grift, I mean, gift?

It's a hanger queen.

It's sat unused for 5 years. Has it been maintained? Can it even fly?

Don't know!

So, yeah... the cost to actually get that thing approved and airworthy? Unknown!

The cost to strip it down and make it the flying command post that is what Air Force One is supposed to be? Millions and millions!

tRump just wants to ride around in style, you know? In a couple of months it will be ready, he says.

Yeah, no. Unless he doesn't care or believe he needs the extra protection he already has with the present Air Force One.

Maybe the Qatar knows this and hopes that he'll get blown out of the sky? Eh, don't think so. They know where their bread is butter and tRump is a dope who can be bribed by shiny things that they don't want and apparently, nobody else does. .

Isn't it funny how a party and a government is really big on 'person choice' in health care is now denying COVID vaccines to only those over 65?

No it isn't funny.

In the latest of round of D.E.I. stupidity it seems the rRump administration wants Stockholm, Sweden to stop any D.E.I. activities if they want to do business with the their embassy.

Sweden said no.

If it was Sweden, I'd say, "Okay, we're not doing business with you," and shut off the embassy's water, power, telephone and internet.

Talk about Ugly American.

I don't think we had as many people as two weeks ago but it was on a main street and we got a lot of honks and thumbs up. Good weather, good crowd. I even saw the sign "My arms are tired."

No photos, but a new icon. I stand with Greenland

My first rally in decades.

HANDS OFF!

We're a small city place that's sort of red. Yet, in the rain there were at least 100-150 people. Not bad for a rainy Saturday. Mixed crowd - skewed towards older folks. All they had was a bullhorn when they really needed a PA system.

I actually have bits and bobs that could be cobbled together to form a PA system - I just don't know if any of it still works. No speakers though. I could get some cheap but they're a pain to move around.

Update - it seems they had a PA but it was really weak. News reports reported the crowd at around 500. A village half an hour away had 150!

I was told there would be signs provided at the rally = there weren't. I'd best get busy making signs for the next one.

To our old allies, I have a few words:

The United States is sick.

America has turned into the Sick Old Man: cranky, mean, losing it's memory. It is looking back at an imagined Golden (Gilded?) Age when Rich White Men were Rich White Men, women stayed in the kitchen (and worked) and brown people either didn't exist or were happy just to step and fetch.

America is no longer the beacon of freedom but a cesspool of corruption, greed and lies. We're sleeping with the autocrats and dictators and waking up with delusions.

You can't rely on us.

You're going to have to put on your adult pants and figure out how to move forward towards liberty and justice without us. For many of us Americans, we're at the bedside trying to nurse our country back to health but like a drunkard recovering from a car crash, there's been a lot of damage done and they still want another bottle and the keys to another car.

I can't say how long the sickness will last. Maybe after the leopards have eaten enough faces will the fever break. In the meantime, good luck.

Part of a post from (retch) Xitter:

------

Secretary Sean Duffy
[profile] secduffy

America deserves safe, state-of-the-art air travel, and President Trump has ordered that I deliver a new, world-class air traffic control system that will be the envy of the world.

To do that, I need advice from the brightest minds in America.

I’m asking for help from any high-tech American developer or company that is willing to give back to our country.

------

Yeah, first they fire union employees who already *know* the system and have complained about problems _for years_ about the equipment them have and the personnel they don't have.

Then Duffy asks for help from "any high tech American developer or company that is willing to give back to our country."

Translation: we want free stuff and free solutions. This is _air traffic control_. Computers? Yes, but radios, radar and people trained on using the equipment. You can't fix this with blockchain, A.I. or meme coin. I can see Musk's incel DOGEbros screwing this up massively.

It's going to take _money_. It's going to take _people_.

Forget air travel. It's going to get *dangerous* real soon, especially if seasoned staff decides to walk off the job before they get fired.
