Smile! We're putting a camera down your throat! Open wide!

Although I haven't been having any serious tummy issues lately, it's been a few years since they last looked around down there and decided to check things out again.

They knocked me out (well sort of) so I was definitely not feeling any pain or discomfort. They snipped something small and suspicious and reported excess mucus. There was other minor things I'll DuckDuckGo later because it's all in medical jargon.

Although I was 'awake' after the procedure I didn't return to full consciousness until I was back in the car and pulling up to the driveway. (Yes I had a driver.) Late breakfast then bed for a few hours. I was still wobbly on my feet the rest of the day but was mostly okay.

Over time the drugs wore off and all normal aches and pains returned - along with an irritated throat. I'm still okay, just more away how much I hurt an a day to day basis. Mostly muscular. It's annoying.

Need to get my signs ready for Saturday!

I have this odd patch of psoriasis in the back of my head. Since I can't see it I didn't know how ugly it was. However, I could feel it getting lumpy.

I have a family history of cancer. Strange lumps where they shouldn't be are concerning.

I showed it to one of my dermatologists and they suggested I visit my primary. I jumped the queue and got an appointment to see *someone* yesterday. They're pretty sure it's a pilar cyst which are mostly benign but can become painful if infected.

I'm relieved it's not the big C - but I'm getting blood tests later this month and I'll speak to my other dermatologist next month about it.

I put aside a banana to eat with my bagel and cheese for dinner last night. I forgot about the banana until later that evening and ate it all by itself. It had a few bruises and was a little sweet but it tasted fine.

Until a few minutes after I ate it. My stomach *hurt*. A lot. I tried to sleep but could not.

Later that night I vomited it out. Just the banana. It took two tries about half an hour apart. Yikes. I tossed out the rest of the bananas.

So I stayed home today. I was in no shape to drive let alone work. I did work about an hour remotely with one of my spare systems but I was too sick and tired and stomach hurty to get much done. Also, the system at home was missing a few passwords so I couldn't to certain things. I'll copy the passwords tomorrow when I head back to work.

It's been quite some time since I had such a bad reaction to food. I'll be avoiding bananas for awhile.

About 35 years ago I weighed 140 lbs - which for being a middle aged woman who stands 5' 7" wasn't bad.

But as the years clicked by I slowly gained weight until I was closing in on 165 lbs. Not so good.

So I started to slowly move away from sweets and excessive carbohydrates. I started eating more whole grains, more fruit, more vegs, less processed foods and more protein. I think it took a full year to click down below 160 lbs. About two weeks ago I stepped on a scale and was down to 152. Having IBS probably helped but it's a sucky way to lose weight.

I haven't really noticed any health changes except my nightly/morning leg cramps have faded. That's good because they were extraordinarily painful. My hips don't seem to hurt as much but that could be seasonal. I think I'll see more benefits when I go below 150.
