There was no earthquake in the NY/NJ - that was just Trump's bond check bouncing.

Hi!

Oh, and to all the Xtians who are butt hurt about it falling on Easter - tough. Learn to share. Trans people have suffered so much by religious jackwagons that it's long past time you gave up hating.

This is my resurrection too, you know.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) is in discussions with at least one publisher about a book deal at the same time that he is leading the Biden impeachment probe, Axios has learned.

Title: "All the President's Money"

Does Comer realize that most of his base doesn't or can't read?

Maybe it'll be a coloring book.

About 35 years ago I weighed 140 lbs - which for being a middle aged woman who stands 5' 7" wasn't bad.

But as the years clicked by I slowly gained weight until I was closing in on 165 lbs. Not so good.

So I started to slowly move away from sweets and excessive carbohydrates. I started eating more whole grains, more fruit, more vegs, less processed foods and more protein. I think it took a full year to click down below 160 lbs. About two weeks ago I stepped on a scale and was down to 152. Having IBS probably helped but it's a sucky way to lose weight.

I haven't really noticed any health changes except my nightly/morning leg cramps have faded. That's good because they were extraordinarily painful. My hips don't seem to hurt as much but that could be seasonal. I think I'll see more benefits when I go below 150.

With the exception of Laura Trump taking over the Republican Party's bank accounts, I haven't heard a lot about Donald Trump's kids. Surely with all the graft and grift going on in that family, somebody must have a little scratch to throw to Poppa Don's money problems.

Maybe they don't have the cash either... or maybe they hate their father as much as any liberal... or they're just too greedy to give Poppa Don some scratch.

Although I find the scenario of Donald Trump having to couch surf rather amusing.

Multiple indictments and half a billion dollars in civil liability later, pretty much the only person who can say they were better off four years ago is Donald Trump.

Since I'm a techie I use a lot of techie terms: CPU, SSD, etc. in my YouTube channel. Since YouTube's Closed Caption auto translator sucks I insert my own Closed Captions using a special program to create an SRT file. This is a fairly standard format for inserting captions into a video file.

I ran a different spell checker than I usually use and failed to double check it. When I pushed it up to YouTube I noticed a bunch of words were wrong. When I saw all my SSD were converted to SAD the Clue dropped.

I was able to edit the captions so I didn't have to re-upload everything. Lessons learned.

My IBS flare up has mostly calmed down. The erratic nature of the ailment is really annoying because a food that I was perfectly fine with a few months ago might bother me now.

Working from home has helped because the bathroom is much closer and when you gotta go... you gotta go.

The saga of the Big Pile of Macbook Pros is almost over - I'm down to one last, cranky one. I'm hoping a fresh install will fix some odd problems... but I'm not sure. Out of 15 I've salvaged 8 which will go to my local church when all is said and done.

During my stay at home I would get really tired in the morning, nap after lunch, then have problems sleeping at night. I decided to up my coffee intake during the morning and not nap so I can sleep at night. It seems to be working.

I want to make Punching Nazis Great Again.

I woke up today around 3:45 AM. I dozed a little bit until 4:45 AM then decided to give, start my laundry and get some breakfast. About an hour later I went back to sleep and slept soundly until around 9 AM. I woke up hungry.

So yeah... second breakfast sounds good. I'm not going to indulge though - I'm waiting for elevenses.

Broadcasting is a 24/7 365(6) industry. I've been in it long enough to get used to working holidays, weekends and be ready to work at a moment's notice.

I'm tired.

It's especially annoying when I'm on a hard deadline and I still need stuff from people who regularly request things at the last minute or on a Friday after 5 PM or at the beginning of a long weekend.

I'm tired.

Working remotely has been helpful: the coffee is better, the bathrooms are closer (with my IBS flaring that's very important) and if I want to nap after lunch nobody's going to mind.

I'm tired.

Working from home helps since my housemate has needed care after several surgeries. They're mostly recovered but they still need help with things.

I'm tired.

I really should seriously consider retiring soon.

So Trump has been ordered to pay out 355 Million bucks because of business fraud! It should make me happy to see the cheating scum shaken down - but I"m not.

I won't be happy until his checks have been cashed, moneys collected and/or assets seized. Donald has a long history of stiffing people and wriggling out of what he owes. Delay, delay, delay - deny, deny, deny - appeal, appeal, appeal.

Some people want him dead. I don't: death is too easy. I want him to suffer as he has made others suffer. I want to see him impoverished, broken and defamed.

I do believe that kindness and compassion should be extended to everyone- but I'm willing to make exceptions.

We were expecting 3 - 6 inches. We got a dusting.

It's cold and windy but I'm counting my blessings.

My IBS flared last week but my tummy is better now. Good sleep still eludes me - more than it normally does.

I'm at the end of my Macbook Pro resurrection run. I started with 14 systems and I presently have 7 refurbished. They're 2011 & 2012 systems which have 8 to 16 gigs of memory and speedy SSD replacing the hard drives. I should have an 8th and 9th systems completed by next week... and possibly a 10th later. I've contacted my church and offered them up. They sent an email asking how much I want for them. I'd love to see the look on their faces when the open my reply email that says I'm donating them for free.

'Cause that's how I roll.

Having Irritable Bowel Syndrome sucks.

I've been doing okay until Monday morning when I barely made it home in time from the grocery store. The cramps have been so bad it's left at the point of tears. I've been eating a lot of oatmeal (when I do eat) with bananas. Naps in the afternoon help.

Fortunately I've been working from home. I've also stopped drinking coffee as it is very acidic. I can probably live without coffee... but I just don't want too. I'm holding off any intake of coffee until my gut settles down. When I work at home I drink less but the quality is better.

Mr Trump LOST again! Now he owes Ms. Carroll a little over $83 million dollars.

Time to join the PTL club - that stands for Pay The Lady.

So much winning!

I really hope they hang him but his feet and shake the _cash_ out of him. If I was Ms. Carrol I'd ask for a sizeable part of that to be in cash - just so I can pile it on my bed and roll around in it for a few minutes.

And video tape it and post the video where the Former Guy can see it.

I feel like an old vinyl record that has become warn through many many plays with a heavy needle. There are clicks and pops and an occasional skip. I wasn't coping too well this past month but it's getting better. Sleep is still hard to come by. Since I'm working from home naps can be taken but that sometimes makes my nightly sleep cycle worse.

And I've been napping *hard*. I fall asleep within minutes and dream furiously. Sometimes I wake up and think it's morning, not early afternoon. Still, I know things are improving.

Snow and rain are coming today. It's supposed to get up into the 50s (in Freedom Degrees) which is *weird* for this time of the year. Usually the coldest part of winter is in early February. I'm not complaining just commenting.

The last of the first snowfall melted away and now we have a fresh snowfall to shovel. It's colder out so it's coming down as light, flurry, powdery stuff which is easy to move around.

I didn't realize how much had fallen when I stepped outside for my morning walk. Seeing the amount of snow I ditched the walk and started shoveling. I would have cleared everything in one go but I wasn't wearing my back brace and my gave give me a gentle reminder to take it easy. So, no backache today.

Sunday I was vacuuming the house when I tripped on the power cord. My head was heading right for a corner of a wooden cabinet and I managed to twist myself and merely thumped on the floor. No damage done but it was a scary moment.

The pile of e-waste MacBook Pros is shrinking as I swap out the old hard drives for SSDs and use Open Core legacy patcher to upgrade them. I'm not quite halfway through. One of the problems with Open Core is that for every change in Apple Firmware you need to create a new boot USB disk. And if you want to install a different version of Mac OS you'll need to make a different USB disk. Since I'm working with older Macs this can take up to 2 hours. In the pile there's four different firmware versions. However, most are either 9,2 and 8,2 so two boot USBs will cover most of them. The 9,2 are handling the latest Mac OS (Sonoma) fairly well although the 8,2 are acting cranky. I might have to make a new boot disk with Monteray or Ventura for the older systems. I need to pause soon because I've run out of SSDs to install.

It really can't be helped - my housemate needs the care and I need to work. I'm working remotely so I can be home when needed but I really need to throttle down a bit.

This morning, instead of going for my walk I ran out to get *good* bagels and hit the grocery store for a few items. This was not the best idea too soon after waking up and no breakfast. I know I startled one of the workers when I cursed out the shopping carts for being stuck together (although no Bad Words were used.) I quickly realized that I was stressed out and took a few deep breaths.

And then, total surprise: the store music system started playing "Nantucket Sleigh Ride" by Mountain. OMG. I. Am. Old. For a moment, I felt the Universe had handed me a chill pill. Then, when leaving the store I got a glimpse of an almost clear, pre-morning sky. A moment of beauty.

Then I got *good* bagels. Nice. Salt and 7 grain. You buy a dozen and they give you 15!

I'm still burnt out and I know it. Hopefully, I'll take some time and actually relax this weekend.

"Former President Trump intends to personally deliver part of the defense's closing argument at the conclusion of his civil fraud trial in New York on Thursday, sources familiar with the former president's strategy tell ABC News."

I can't think of a better way to blow his case, piss off the judge and the show even more people what a snarling, inept, lying blow-hard Trump is than to have him deliver the closing argument in his defense.

His cult will probably lap up the incoherent mess that it promises to be but f*** them.

I need to invest in more popcorn futures.

When you're emotionally and physically stressed and exhausted naps are nice.

And stay hydrated.

Installing MacOS Sonoma on a 2012 MacBook Pro right now. I'm in the waiting period as it loads up. Most of the inexpensive Macs of this period were dual core i5s (four threads) so they're a bit pokey even with an SSD and 8 - 16 gigs of memory but hey, they still work pretty well.

It's snowing here now: the Great Blizzard of 2024 has arrived. Some places are supposed to get up to 9 inches but I'm expecting half that locally. I'll wait until tomorrow to shovel.

Stay warm folks!

I can't go into details right now but 2023 went out with a bang for me. The holiday season was full of stress and worries but things have settled now. A major crisis has been weathered. There's still some rough seas ahead but the major storm has passed.

All I can say is that in a crisis, stay hydrated.
